Booking a class

If this is your first class with me and/or you have some questions please just email me. On the day, please come along a few minutes early to talk about any health concerns and/or yoga experience you might already have. You may also need to fill in a brief health questionnaire. All information given will be treated as strictly confidential and not be shared with any third party.

Individual Sessions

Whilst group classes are fun and help many people to keep motivated, they may not always be suitable. One-to-one sessions are a great way to establish a personal home practice that is right for your individual circumstances. During a one-to-one session you can expect to define your goals in yoga, review your current range of movement, receive in-depth feedback on particular postures, advice on which poses to practice, and a tailor-made practice plan. Follow-up sessions ensure you receive ongoing support and a practice routine that grows with you.

One-to-one yoga sessions can be booked to complement group class attendance, to address longer-term health issues, or can be taken as a stand-alone practice method to progress in yoga. For more information about individual sessions please contact Michaela.

What to expect

Michaela's yoga sessions are based on traditional yoga teachings and establish the breath as starting point for physical movement. Good alignment is encouraged and, depending on the student, the building of strength and/or flexibility. Michaela introduces new yoga postures step-by-step, and suggests a number of variations that make the practice either more accessible or more challenging, depending on each student's needs.

How to prepare

It is best not to eat an hour or two before yoga. You might want to bring some water with you to drink afterwards, and a yoga mat if you have one. If you usually sit on a block to elongate your spine, please bring this along, too. On entering the class, please remember to switch off your mobile phone.
